The Caerphilly Constituency has quite a diverse blend of rural and urban areas and is made up of the Lower Rhymney Valley in the North and the Caerphilly Basin in the South. The constituency of Caerphilly is on of three constituencies that make up the Caerphilly County Borough Council along with Islwyn to the East and part of Merthyr & Rhymney to the North.
